The grips should have been pretty tough to get on. If there that loose, you may want to rethink those bars. Using glue on heated grips sounds like trouble ?... Instead, unscrew the bolt at the end of the grip, ignore the razor blade step all together and slide the grip right off. You’ll also use a lubricant to help you slide the new metal grips onto the handlebar instead of using a glue or cement.

9/09/2010 · Not sure if anyone knew this or not, but CA glue (the tire glue mentioned in the OP) is actually just Superglue. It's the same stuff. I tried to use some on jet ski grips at the beginning of summer, but all I had was the Thin viscosity; it dried so quickly that my grip was half on and stuck there.... 18/07/2011 · Don't use the stuff. Always sprayed the grip with a window cleaning product, applied and wire-tied; however, I have tried to use grip glue but found it to be messy and a bit of a pain to clean off before applying the next set of grips.
