By default, this will install CMake in /usr/local, so make sure to have /usr/local/bin in your execute path. To change the installation prefix (e.g. to /usr in debian), add the '- …... IMO it is better to do an "out of source" build, ie have all the build files in a separate directory and not mixed with your sources. I have the impression that this is actually promoted by cmake. ie use bin/ dir for all the project files, not only for executable.
